Ambiguous Endings

I just finished Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood. It was muy excellent, and in particular, those of the science field (a la moi and Kresser ^_-) would really appreciate it. The book is along the vein of 1984, and discusses the impact of bioengineering in the future. A totally good read with interesting characters and truthful observations about the fate of the world, as well as with parts that definitely made *GASP*! My only beef with the book was the ambigous ending. Hate hate HATE those things. Sometimes I tolerate them because they do serve to end the current story being told adequately and sufficiently, but in this case, the "no-ending" ending only served to piss me off. Much like it did when Angel ended very uberly-ambiguous too. (Still verra angry about that BTW.)

Got a facial today, then spent the day at Starbucks reading. Afterwards, perused Virgin and Sephora. Sephora is turning into a drug for me, I've bought something there every week for the past month! Overall, a verra nice and relaxing day. See, I'm in my relaxing robe. ;)
