Boo-urns on Being New

Goddammit. So, my school email account does not work yet because I am a new student. Thus, I may be missing some valuablee class information, such as if lab is still on tomorrow or not. I'm not sure because my lab is supposed to be in the new building, and seeing how as the new building is still under construction, I'm curious as to the status of my lab. I vaguely remembered the Prof say that there were no labs this week, but I did not get to confirm with him. I've seen signs that say another lab has been post-poned, but nothing about mine. I don't want to not show and then totally get penalized for it. BAH!

The ditz that I am, one of the books I bought today was the wrong one! Luckily, I realized my error before leaving campus so I just returned it the same day. The two classes I'm taking for humanities and beh. science are a refreshing break from all the science I've had to endure the past couple semesters. I actually can't wait to start reading everything. :)

I'm definitely in the school zone right now. Too bad everything this week is mostly intro and I still don't have enough stuff to get me through my lonely evening. Ah well, tomorrow is another day. =)

The New Chapter

And so, life as Bostonian begins. First day of class was as expected. I tried to go to the advising center, but the line was ridiculously long, so I will opt instead to go another day. The students are all very nice and I've even managed to make a few friends. Living along is nice, but it's also kinda lonely and scary. I've cleaned up the place nice and all I need now is furniture. Although, I'm thinking that I'll just live there until the end of the year, go home for summer and then find some roommates for next year. I was talking to a girl today, actually, who was still looking for a place to stay and she asked me if I was interested. We exchanged phone numbers, and maybe within a couple of months I won't have to live alone anymore.

I'm in what appears to be the student lounge and I'm utilizing the wireless internet. I'm trying to take advantage since I don't have any internet at home and it's driving me nuts. I also don't have a TV, but I'm going to go to Best Buy today and rectify that problemo shortly. I also have to go the realtors and see if they've tracked down my mail key yet. I feel like there are many things to do, and yet, not enough to do. I totally wish I had a AC unit at my place. The heat is verra blech... I look forward to a very busy day tomorrow. =)
