I worked, a lot. Funny since my boss said he couldn't give me that many hours, and yet somehow, all I ended up doing was work. Tis fine though, since I need the dough.
My dream for my last summer vacay ever would have been to traipse around Europe. Alas, that was not within the scope of my capabilities. Sometime in the future when my funds are more grandiose.
I did go to Vegas (again) and went camping (OMG!). Vegas was the usual fare, but it nice to spend time with my soon bride-to-be amiga BK. I had hoped to travel to her Hawaiian wedding extravaganza, but again, not within my scope. I hope my peeps take tons of photos and video so that I may live through them vicariously. Such as it is with Europe, Hawaii will be someday...
My first time camping was not too bad, even for a city girl such as myself. We had a bear encounter that was both cool and petrifying. I wish I had the balls to have actually looked at the bear when it invaded our campsite, but I was too scared it would have looked into my eyes and seen my soul. Note to self, since one does not get to shower while camping, no more stuffing one's face with smores since the scent may attract scary ass bears...
Some goals for this last summer vacation were to also learn some new songs on the piano, actually start learning how to play my new guitar, take some photos, sew a dress, read a book, review pharmacy nonsense... yeah, didn't do anyone of those darn things.
Oh, I did find out that I have high cholesterol. Years of KB have finally caught up with me. Yes, your 100 pound skinny Asian friend has a total cholesterol of 226. Calculated LDL was approximately 153. Trigs and HDL were good. Technically, according to ATP III, I don't have to start initiating therapeutic lifestyle modifications until LDL is over 160. :D
Sad to see summer go... we shall meet again though, I am sure.
