Back in Boston and into the swing of things
Home (er... 2nd home) sweet home. Weather: COLD! Possible rain... haven't heard of any snow storms yet though. The flight over was verra interesting in that there were a lot of students, a la moi, visiting Cali Cali for some turkey turkey, then returning back to academia. I slept well, but was still exhausted when we landed at 5 AM. The whole day I was a crabby keester because of the lack of sleep, and right now I just woke up from a blissful, uninterrupted 3 hour nap. Sadly, I must immediately jump back into my work because my little mini-vacation was superbly unproductive in the work department. I've got two papers, two lab reports and many finals coming up... can we say w00t?? :)

Presents!
As expected, Mokroopal dinner was uber-awesome. Twas so great to chillax and have some laughs. We went to Cheesecake Factory for dinner (it's starting to become a tradition for me, I can never think of anywhere else to go) and whilst the food was verra good, I got full right after half a bowl of soup and had to call it quits there! I'm not even Boston yet, but already I am reverting to the eating habits that I carry on over there.
The Mokroopals are so sweet. They're the only people who still get me gifts (although, the Girls did buy my Thanksgiving plane ticket home as a BDay gift =). They really didn't have to and I always feel like I don't deserve it!!! The presents were terrific, as only Mokroopals gifts can be. Kressler got me a verra cute I Heart CA shirt in pink from Hollister and coasters that say: Sober, Buzzed, Wasted, and Hungover. She also got me another Moo Moo (cow) and a picture board. Her Bday card was, if I could ever scan it or show it, was a perfect depiction and personification of me and now it will get wall status. :)
Lisa also got me a gift from Hollister (a gift card), which led me to believe that she and Kressler went together to get my gift, but hilariously enough, they went separate! She also got me a martini glass, and I didn't figure this part out until later, but she had wrapped my gift card in a paper shaped as a green apple and then put it in the martini glass to depict and apple martini! Inside the pink basket was also another cute shirt from Hollister and a bigger Moo Moo. The cows are comin' home people!
To top off the night, Pat and Albert gave me a giant box. Oh yes, there was a MINI IPOD in there!!!! I CANNOT believe that they would get me a gift like that, something that I totally do not deserve, but I love 'em for it. D00d, my eyes nearly fell out of their eye sockets. It's so pink and pretty... LOL, kinda like me.
We drew names for Christmas afterwards, the grand Mokroopal Christmas tradition still standing, but we still have to discuss our Christmas plans since I'll be in Mammoth for a week before the holiday.
I had to reluctantly part ways with them afterwards seeing as how the guys were calling me to poker, and also, Kressler and Lisa had a lot of teacher stuff to do. Poker was fun. always nice to see those dumbasses. I think they actually missed me whilst I was gone. I was a totally craptastic poker player last night, getting kicked out after 30 minutes!!! Must've been distracted by other things *cough*... well, I'll be back in less than 3 weeks, and I'll kick their asses then. ;)

22nd Birthday
The birthday thing has totally lost its impact on me ever since I turned 21. My mom wished me a Happy Birthday this morning, and once again I was like, oh yeah, I've aged again. LOL, when she said she wanted to talk to me, I thought she wanted to have words with me about coming home late last night. My friend Janice called this morning too, to say Happy BDay... even the bouncer last night at the club said it! He was checking out my birthdate and told me to find him at midnight.
I am verra proud of my friends. Last night, both Linda and Vikki matched me drink for drink. Bwahahahahaha, I will not rest until I have killed everyone's livers!
Yes, last night has marked the last of my partying in LA... um, yeah, at least until I come back in December. I must say, I have made up for a lot of lost time! I've been drinking and/or clubbing every night since Tuesday. And YAY for me, I haven't blacked out once!! A sign that I'm growing, I guess. ;)
Tonight I'm going to go out with my Mokroopals and finish my rounds of seeing everybody (although, I still have to go visit the work people... mayhaps on Monday). A nice, quiet and pleasant dinner is the personification of a Mokroopal outting... as well as our fun chilldrinklaxing evenings. I can't find my Mokroopal shirt, otherwise I'd wear it tonight! I thought I left it at home, but it looks like I've brought it to Boston.
Everything is winding down, I'm already verra sad to go. But alas, I shall not think about it until tomorrow. =)

Booze and Manwhores
It's like the song says, ain't no party like a west coast party. Boston clubs ain't got nothin' on LA clubs. *sigh* Will verra much miss the scene once I trapse on back to the East.
On Tuesday, we had a bonfire, then ate some KB (YUM!) and then went to a bar in Fullerton. Loved the bonfire, even though it was freakin' cold. I love the smell... sigh... :) Only in So. Cal can you have a bonfire at the beach at the end of November. I was feeling pretty tired from my long flight that morning, so I didn't do too much drinking and I didn't feel like socializing too much. Unfortunately, this guy couldn't pick up on my anti-social vibe and kept bugging me. The lame part was that he was kind of a dumb-f*ck, and he claimed to be 24, but he totally looked like a 19 year old guy who swiped a fake idea or something.
On Wednesday, we went to the Mayan and I was fairly drunk there, although not to my usual levels of drunkeness. Lynda, genius that she was, forgot her ID at home (in Anaheim!) and had to drive all the way back home to get it, then come back. When she finally arrived, she had too much champagne and too much liquor in a small time frame and got helaciously MESSED UP. She yaked for a verra long time on the curve when we got to Hodori and then slept on the table. I was worried about LV guy showing up there because Linda had told him that we would be there, even though I've given her explicit instructions to not let him near me. Luckily for us, we didn't bump into him then.
On Thursday, after some Bo 7 Mon with my family (the turkey event being moved to Sunday, why, I do not know), we went to Dave & Busters. We were only able to get one drink because the bar closed early that night. Wish they could've announced Last Call first!! Afterwards, still needing some activities and alcohol, we went to Rack & Cue to play some pool and drink some Smirnoff.
Friday came and I was torn between playing poker or going to Level 3. The decision was made for me when poker was cancelled. Good thing too, because I was able to round up all of the girls and get them to go. Had drinks with everybody and was able to get in some nice pictures. We wore our t-shirts and got a lot of responses from people. LOL, especially Huong, since her shirt said "Grab My Ass." Thomson had to spend a lot of time protecting her derrier. :) I drank about five drinks that night, but two of them were glasses of champagne, and I've discovered that champagne can get me pretty drunk when in conjunction with mixed drinks. SO, from now on, I'm going to drink champagne because it gets me drunk quicker, and I spend less money at the bar. I made myself yak in the bathroom, but not because I had too or because I was overly drunk, but just cause it made my stomach feel better. And I think it staved off the possibility of blacking out later. =)
I ran into LV guy at Level 3!!! He saw me before I saw him, so I couldn't make a run for it. I talked to him for a bit because I didn't want to diss him, but I kept it short so as to not give him any ideas. Raaaaaaaaaaaaaahhh...
After feeling like a reject for the past couple weeks, my ego was given a nice, good boost last night. Had lots of guys hitting on me, and even a few free drinks. Yes, I know, I'm fabulous. ;) And being rejected a few weeks ago has renewed my stance on guys and love, which is, NO GUYS AND NO LOVE. Always good to have a refresher every now and then.
I don't know what's going on tonight, poker or another club, but either way, good times all around. Mayhaps I can try to squeeze in both!

There's no place like HOME
Ah, back on the west coast, great to be back. I love love love Calif so much. It's the middle of November and I'm wearing flip flops. *SOB* So great... And as they say, ain't no party like a west coast party. The clubs in Boston can never match the clubs in LA. My Bostonian friends aren't too big on clubs, but it had to be explained to them that when you grow up in OC and LA, the club scene is verra big. Of course, whilst not big on clubs, they are verra big on the bars and pubs. I suppose that alcohol is alcohol... merriment is sure to abound either way. =)
It's been lovely to see all the pals and the familia (and yes, the clubs!). My BDAY is Sunday. I find it humurous how when I was waiting for my 21st bday, it felt like the day would never come, and now this year when I turn 22, I didn't even realize it was coming up. It practically hit me on the face that the 28th was coming up so quickly. LOL, age... if only I could be 21 forever. Twenty-one has definitely been the best year of my life. Is it cause of the booze? Is it cause of the parties? Is it cause of the poker? Is it cause of the Girls? I it cause of the pals? Is it because of the general lack of drama and stress? Well, I'd like to think it's because of all of the above. =)
Good times had by all.
